Nicole Lychnou was born on 29 July 1963 in Athens, Greece. She studied as follows: Ceramic courses with teacher Tilda Nikolaïdou, Young Women’s Christian Association – YWCA, Athens (1979-1981); Baccalaureate, Pierce College, Athens (1981); Nursery School Studies, Superior Institute of Pedagogy, Brussels (1981-1982); Psychology & Pedagogy, Université Libre de Bruxelles – ULB, Brussels (1982-1985); Sorbonne II Diploma of French Studies, Institut Français d’Athènes – IFA, Athens (1990); Sorbonne III Superior Diploma of French Studies, Institut Français d’Athènes – IFA, Athens (1991); Seminar of Methodology for teaching French as a foreign language, Institut Français d’Athènes – IFA, Athens (1992); Seminar: Introduction to the History of Applied Arts with lecturer Eleni Athanassiou, Tsichritzis Foundation, Kifissia, Athens, (2002-2003); Seminars of History of Art with lecturer Ioanna Vetsopoulou, Pyrna Cultural Association, Kifissia, Athens (2008-2009).

Nicole Lychnou teaches French as a foreign language since 1988 and she runs a workshop in Kifissia, where she lives and works until today.
